GPS On eBay - Always Cheaper Deals On Line!

GPS On eBay -

Pay Less For Your GPS?

Ok you've trawled the net, read loads of reviews and you're ready to part with your cash for a suitable GPS. But who to give your money to?

Well there's plenty of GPS on eBay and on Amazon and both should be right up there leading the charge for your money.

Both are super competitive low cost/high security environments where you can pick up a real world satnav at much less than real world prices.

There is one thing about Amazon that I like that eBay doesn't offer and that's buyer reviews

Purchasers of each unit are invited to venture their opinions on their purchase after living with them a while. This results in some very useful insights, like suction cups that don't suck up!

Rarely do you get a definitive opinion about the performance of any particular unit though!

No matter how negative one buyer's experience of this model or that, support always comes in that suggest that the model is in fact the bees-knees!
In the end it's all a matter of personal experience and opinion.

But when it comes to the sharp end, the serious business of parting company with your cash, buying your GPS on eBay is a slightly better option for picking up a better deal all round in my opinion. Let me give you a few reasons why.

For one the eBay.co.uk market place is crowded with sellers who ensure that competition for your money is always fierce and cut throat.

Many sellers – through the use of buyer feedback – have laboured long and hard to build reputations for square dealing with prompt delivery and have lots to lose if we buyers arent satisfied with the service.

By the way, eBay recognises and rewards outstanding sellers who offer high levels of service and commitment to customers with "powerseller" status, kind of like a knighthood I suppose!

This brings me to the second reason why eBay – more often than not – edges out Amazon in the GPS stakes.

Once you register with eBay (it's free) you can use email to not only get a "feel" for the seller but also to ask any questions you may have about their products prior to purchase.

But here's the point, there's nothing to stop you asking for some freebie  sweetners during the conversation! And why not? Us Brits are far too reticent when it comes to going all out for a bargain! Understandable in a retail store environment perhaps but via the anonimity of email?

  Go for it!

Sellers aren't going to change prices during mid auction so don't bother with that angle but they can throw extras into your shipment like screen protectors, GPS cases etc to sweeten the deal should you proceed to purchase.

Not the sort of trick you can easily pull on Amazon!

This tactic works best by the way with sellers (and I like dealing with powersellers particularly) who specialise in satellite navigation sales (there's plenty of them and they tend to have more GPS related goodies they can throw into the pot!)

My third point is that even without asking and if you read the auction descriptions carefully, you'll often see eBay sellers adding value to their auctions by offering extras you might otherwise have to pay for elsewhere.

Keep this in kind when you're comparing features and specification of similar units from the two (Amazon V eBay) sites or any others come to that.

And You Don't Have To Place A Bid Any More!

Many eBay sellers now offer a Buy It Now option meaning that if picking up your GPS on eBay is a serious option, you don't have to take part in a bidding war if you don't want to.

Buy It Now lets you by-pass eBay's traditional auction format, a relief for those of us who can't be bothered with the drawn out bother of the bidding process.
